Anderson suffered a shoulder injury in Ottawa on Saturday and is expected to miss at least one month. Anderson has had a terribly difficult season, scoring just one goal on 63 shots (1.6 SH%) with three assists (four points) in 26 games.

Anderson was hurt Saturday in Ottawa, presumably in a fight with Mark Borowiecki. Kevin Stenlund was recalled on emergency basis on Sunday and is expected to replace Anderson both at even-strength and on the power-play.
Anderson has missed the past six games due to an upper-body injury that he suffered on October 5th. Anderson’s return will be a huge boost to the Blue Jackets’ offence, which currently sits 29th in the NHL in goals-per-game (2.25). Anderson scored 27 goals with 20 assists (47 points) in 82 games a season ago.
Anderson has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but returning to practice is a big step towards returning to the Blue Jackets’ lineup. Head coach John Tortorella did not have much of an update on Anderson but said that “he’s progressing.”
Columbus announced that Anderson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury that he suffered on October 5th, but was moved to IR so they could recall Markus Hannikainen from Cleveland (AHL). Anderson had already been ruled out of Friday’s game and is eligible to come off IR whenever he is healthy.
Anderson is set to miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. The Blue Jackets have not released any type of timeline for his return, but the fact they are updating his status on a game-to-game basis suggests that he is simply day-to-day.

Anderson appeared in a game with Cleveland (AHL) over the weekend and will get into the Blue Jackets lineup tomorrow in Carolina. Anderson skated with Brandon Dubinsky and Matt Calvert on the third line on Monday.
Anderson missed training camp due to a contract dispute, but signed a three-year deal on Tuesday. Despite inking a new contract, head coach John Tortorella said that Anderson is out on Friday. Anderson will likely need a few practice sessions to get back into the swing of things, but don’t expect the power-forward to sit out for too many contests.

The 23-year-old is coming off of 17-goal, 12-assist season and will look to carve out a larger role this season. Missing training camp will put Anderson behind the 8-ball and likely force him to start the season in the bottom-6.
