Leivo has missed the last three games with back spasms but practiced on Saturday and could play on Sunday. If he does play, the Canucks will likely return Adam Gaudette to the AHL.
Leivo has been moved to IR due to back spasms that forced him to leave Wednesday’s game in Ottawa. Leivo has been ruled out of tonight’s game and Saturday’s game in Toronto, so moving him to IR was just a formality to active his replacement Brandon Sutter. Leivo is eligible to come off of IR for next Thursday’s game vs. the Coyotes.
Leivo has picked up just six points (4G / 2A) while playing a limited role in 27 games with the Maple Leafs this season. Leivo has produced strong numbers at lower levels but has just 28 points (14G / 14A) in 84 career NHL games. He is expected to play a larger role with his new team.
Leivo drew into the Maple Leafs lineup last night, recording one goal on three shots in 10:02 TOI. Despite scoring his first goal of the season, Matt Martin will draw in for the winger.
Leivo has been a healthy scratch for the majority of the season, but has appeared in two of the last three games, recording one assist. Leivo will be scratched in favour of Kasper Kapanen.
Leivo, 23, spent the majority of the 2015-16 season with the Toronto Marlies, but also appeared in 12 games with the Maple Leafs. During his time in the NHL he scored five goals, but was much more effective in the AHL, collecting 17 goals and 31 assists (48 points) in 51 games. Leivo will try and crack the Leafs’ roster during training camp.
Leivo, 22, had one goal in three games during his call-up. Leivo has five goals in 12 games with the Maple Leafs and heads back to 40 points (14G / 26A) in 45 games with the Marlies.
Leivo has 30 points (11G / 19A) in 35 games with the Marlies this season. He has not played a game with the leads this season, but has two goals and one assist in 16 career NHL games. Leivo will likely be in the lineup on Wednesday with James van Riemsdyk out for the nest month and a half.
Leivo was a healthy scratch on Wednesday and with Leo Komarov and Peter Holland back in the lineup, Leivo wasn’t getting in the lineup anytime soon.
Leivo was a minus-1 in 7:30 TOI in one game during his call-up before the All Star break. He has one goal in nine games with the Leafs this season.
Leivo, 21, has been recalled in the midst of a terrible slump for the Maple Leafs. He has registered one goal in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season. His recall is likely just a way for the Leafs to shake things up.
Leivo has been recalled on an emergency basis because of the injury to Daniel Winnik. Leivo is expected to make his season debut on Saturday vs. the Rangers. He has one goal and three assists in eight games with the Marlies and one goal and one assist in seven career NHL games.
