Saros, 21, and Marek Mazanec continue to flip-flop between the AHL and NHL. Saros has gone 1-2-0 with a 1.70 GAA and .940 SV% in three games with the Predators. During his time in Milwaukee the former fourth round pick has gone 11-2-0 with a 1.76 GAA and .938 SV% in 13 starts.
Saros has gone 9-1-0 with a 1.59 GAA and .945 SV% in 10 starts with Milwaukee this season. He was excellent in his only NHL start and now return to Nashville to serve as Pekka Rinne’s backup.
Saros was recalled from Milwaukee and was expected to replace Marek Mazanec as the Predators’ backup, but that wasn’t the case. He backed up Pekka Rinne for a few games, before Mazanec came back up and actually got the start while Rinne was out. With Rinne back for Thursday’s game, Saros is the goalie who heads back to Milwaukee.
Saros stopped 34 of 35 shots in a win over the Penguins in his season debut back on October 22nd. Saros is viewed as the Predators’ goalie of the future and his recall comes after he went 6-1-0 with a 1.99 GAA and .929 SV% with Milwaukee. With Pekka Rinne being average through the first month of the season, Saros comes up to be the Predators’ No.2, but carries some fantasy value in daily leagues, especially in keeper leagues.

Saros allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Predators loss to the Sabres in his NHL debut on Saturday. With Carter Hutton back to 100 percent, the Predators have sent Saros back to the AHL.
Saros, 20, was the Predators fourth round pick (99th overall) in 2013. The 5-foot-11 netminder has gone 8-2-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .919 SV% 10 games into his first season with Milwaukee (AHL). Saros has spent the last two years in the SM-liiga, he was 13-18-16 with a 2.14 GAA and .929 SV% in 47 games with HPK Hameenlinna last year.
