Kale Clague News
Clague has been out since March 9th and is expected to miss at least one more week with an upper-body injury. Corey Schueneman should remain in the Canadiens' lineup while Clague is out.
It's unclear whether or not Clague will draw into the lineup on Thursday but with Chris Wideman suspended, he may have to play. Clague has one goal and no assists in eight games with the Canadiens.
Clague was a second-round pick (No.51 overall) in 2016 and was waived by the Kings after just 33 career NHL games. Clague has picked up five assists in 11 games this season and will likely factor in full-time on the Canadiens' blueline.
Clague played in the season opener but sat out the last two games. On Thursday he is expected to replace Kurtis MacDermid and skate on the third line with Sean Walker. He had one shot and two PIMS in 15:19 TOI last Thursday.
Clague appeared in four games during his call-up but goes back to Ontario with Derek Forbert back with the Kings. The 21-year-old has 15 points (6G / 9A) in 27 AHL games.
Clague made his NHL debut last Saturday but was a healthy scratch on Monday. He could draw back into the lineup tonight in San Jose. The 2016 second-round pick (No.51 overall) has 15 points (6G / 9A) in 27 AHL games this season.
