Ramo allowed two goals on 29 shots in a win over the Capitals on Saturday. After yielding five of the first six starts to Joey MacDonald, Ramo has seen the majority of starts in the last two weeks. He has a 3.57 GAA and .892 SV% in five starts, he will be in tough tonight against a good Maple Leafs team.
Ramo allowed five goals on 34 shots in a loss to the the Stars on Thursday. It was another tough outing for Ramo, he has a 3.95 GAA and .883 SV% in four starts. Things won't get any easier for him tonight when he sees the Capitals at home.
Ramo stopped 27 of 29 shots on Monday for his first NHL win since the 2008-09 season. After Joey MacDonald got five straight starts, tomorrow will be Ramo's third start in the last four games. The Flames have impressed offensively early in the season giving Calgary goalies more value than most thought in the preseason.
Ramo allowed five goals on 35 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Sharks on Saturday night. He has allowed nine goals in two starts, but keep in mind he's faced two tough opponents (WSH & SJ). Thinks don't get any easier for him on Monday as he will see the Kings in LA.
This will be Ramo's first start since the October 3rd season opener. He allowed four goals on 39 shots in that contest, but then was forced to was Joey MacDonald start the next five games. He is not set up for success as he will take on the Sharks.
After spending the last four years in the KHL, Ramo is back in the NHL, this time with the Calgary Flames. In his first NHL stint he was 11-21-10 with a 3.35 GAA and .895 SV% over three seasons with the Lightning. In the KHL he was much better going 99-49-22 with a 2.01 GAA and .923 SV%. The Flames are going to struggle because they are seriously lacking talent and usually a good goalie on a bad team does not lead to fantasy success.
Ramo is currently playing in his third consecutive season overseas with Omsk of the KHL. He is unlikely to return to North America anytime soon.
