Kris Letang is considered day-to-day and will miss Friday's game vs. New Jersey (lower body).

Letang has two goals, 14 assists, 12 PIMs, 57 shots and a -12 plus/minus through 29 games this season but will miss Friday's game due to a lower-body injury. It is the second time Letang has been forced to miss time in 2022-23, after a scary situation with a stroke earlier in the year.

Letang (stroke) returned to the ice in a normal jersey on Thursday.

Just 10 days after suffering a stroke, Letang is back on the ice in a regular jersey. It's unclear when Letang will be back in the lineup, but this is incredible news after it seemed he might not play again this season. Wearing a regular jersey at practice suggests he plans on being back at some point.

Kris Letang suffered a stroke on Monday and is out indefinitely.

Letang suffered his second stroke since 2014 on the bench Monday and will be out indefinitely but the team says he is "not experiencing any lasting effects." It is a terrible loss for the Penguins as the 35-year-old had a goal, 11 assists, and 44 SOG through 21 games in 2022-23 after putting up 68 points in 78 games last season.

Kris Letang will be a game-time decision Tuesday due to illness

The Penguins currently find themselves on a four-game skid so the news that Kris Letang may miss Tuesday due to illness does not come at a good time whatsoever. Letang has struggled early on in 2022-23, posting a -5 plus/minus rating with only four points (0G/4A) through his first nine games.

Letang (lower-body) will not play on Monday; he is listed as day-to-day.

Letang suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday and will not play Monday in New York. The Penguins' blueline continues to take hits, this blow bigger than the rest. With Letang out, John Marino is expected to be on PP1 and P-O Joseph on PP2.

Letang (lower-body) has been activated from IR and will play on Monday.

Letang has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury that he suffered on November 4th, but was back at practice on Sunday and was activated from IR this afternoon. Letang will likely replace Zach Trotman on the blueline and skate with Brian Dumoulin and take over as the quarterback on PP1.

Letang is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Letang missed Thursday's game against the Islanders with a lower-body injury that he suffered late in Monday's game in Boston. Letang will miss at least a couple of weeks, which has become a trend throughout his career. Letang missed 17 games in 2018-19 and has missed 20.7 percent of the games over the last five seasons.

Letang (lower-body) will not play on Thursday; questionable for Saturday.

Letang was forced to exit Monday's game in Boston with a lower-body issue and will not play against the Islanders on Thursday. With Letang out, John Marino will move up to play on the top-pair with Brian Dumoulin and Justin Schultz will man the top power-play unit.

Kris Letang
Letang (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Letang has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but could be back Thursday vs. the Red Wings. Letang has missed a lot of time lately but had a point in each of the three games he played in between his two injuries, giving him 16 goals and 40 assists (56 points) in 63 games this season.
