With Brian Boyle returning to the Devils’ lineup on Wednesday, they needed to make room on the roster by playing Palmieri on IR. The move is retroactive, so Palmieri is eligible to return whenever he is healthy.
Palmieri has missed the last two games with a left foot injury and will not travel on the Devils’ Western Canada trip. With Palmieri out, Drew Stafford will remain on the top-line and Jesper Bratt will stay in the top-6.
