The 26-year-old is 2-1-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .913 SV% in his first four starts of the year and has had a lot of success vs. Detroit in his career—3-0-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .924 SV%.

Ullmark was the Sabres’ best player on the ice by a wide margin and earned himself another start tonight vs. the Sabres. The 26-year-old was 8-6-3 with a 3.48 GAA, .893 SV% and one shutout in 17 games at KeyBank Center last season.
Ullmark appeared in a career-high 37 games in 2019-20, going 15-14-5 with a 3.11 GAA and .905 SV%. Carter Hutton has had a strong start to the season, but the Sabres view this as a good time to get Ullmark into the crease. He’ll face a Blue Jackets team that has started the season at 0-2 while being outscored 11-3.
