Vlasic missed Saturday’s game in Nashville, but will return tonight vs. the Rangers. Regarded as one of the best two-way defensemen in the NHL, Vlasic has recorded 22 points (5G / 17A) in 68 games this season while playing a shutdown role for San Jose.
Vlasic has missed the last four games with a face injury, but will travel to Edmonton for Tuesday’s game. He is listed as a game-time decision, so monitor his status during the morning skate.
Vlasic was hit in the face with a shot last Friday and was placed on IR yesterday so they could recall Mirco Mueller from San Jose (AHL). Vlasic is expected to miss at least the next two games, but should be able to return shortly after that.
