Mark Jankowski News

Jankowski has five goals, three assists, 36 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 32 games this season and has signed a one-year, $775,000 contract for the 2023-24 season. The 28-year-old has played in 304 career NHL games across seven seasons.

Jankowski has four goals, three assists, 27 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 26 games this season but will be a healthy scratch Thursday vs. Vegas. Tommy Novak will take his spot in the Predators' lineup.

Jankowski will be replacing Cole Smith (upper body) as he is day-to-day with an injury in the Predators' lineup Tuesday. The 28-year-old has three goals, three assists, 21 SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 19 games this season.

Jankowski has not played since Nov. 17th but will draw back into the Predators' lineup Wednesday. Through seven games this season he has two goals and three points along with a +2 rating while playing bottom-six minutes.

Jankowski had missed the Predators' previous game due to an undisclosed injury but is a game-time decision Monday vs. Arizona. The 28-year-old centre has two goals and an assist to go along with his +2 plus/minus rating through seven games this season.

Jankowski was recalled from Milwaukee (AHL) after a hot start where he scored five goals and nine points in seven games with the Admirals. In 272 career NHL games, the 28-year-old has 42 goals and 38 assists to go along with 69 PIMs.

Jankowski was with the Sabres last season, scoring two goals with three assists in 19 games. He spent more time in the AHL, registering 27 points (10G / 17A) in 32 games for Rochester. Heading to Nashville, he may open the 2022-23 season with Milwaukee (AHL).

Jankowski and Dylan Cozens were placed on the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday, joining Zemgus Girgensons, Jeff Skinner and Vinnie Hinostroza, who were on the list prior to the Christmas break. Jankowski and Cozens will likely be out until the middle of next week--the other three are eligible to come off earlier.

Jankowski has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but could return to the lineup tonight vs. the Flyers. Jankowski has struggled offensively in his first year with the Penguins, scoring one goal with two assists in 18 games.

Jankowski will miss his third straight game with an upper-body injury. Jankowski and Sidney Crosby (COVID-19) will not be available, so the Penguins centre depth will be tested vs. the Flyers.

Jankowski struggled in 2020, going from 32 points in 2019 to just seven points (5G / 2A) in 56 games last year. Jankowski moves on to Pittsburgh, where he is expected to serve as the third line centre behind Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. He has bounce-back potential but won't be anywhere near fantasy lineups.
