Stone will come out of the Golden Knights lineup on Thursday after being placed in COVID-19 protocol. Either Brett Howden or Adam Brooks are expected to draw into the lineup to replace Stone.
Stone has missed the last four games with an undisclosed injury but was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Rangers. The Golden Knights went 2-1-1 without Stone.
Stone was originally listed as a game-time decision on Monday but was ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game in Los Angeles. Mattias Janmark will likely move up into the top-6 with Stone out.
Stone missed part of the Golden Knights' most recent game (Dec.21) and was not on the ice for Monday's practice. Golden Knights' assistant coach Steve Spott called Stone a game-time decision for Tuesday's game in Los Angeles.
It's unclear what is ailing Stone but he is listed as a game-time decision for Friday's game in Arizona. Monitor his status as the Golden Knights hit the ice for warmups at 9:00 PM ET.
Stone was surprisingly on the ice for the morning skate, taking part in line rushes and on the power-play. All signs are pointing towards him returning to the lineup on Saturday, but head coach Pete DeBoer has officially listed him as a game-time decision.
Stone missed Monday's game in Minnesota but will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's rematch. Alex Tuch moved to the top line with Stone out, so expect them to stick with the same lineup if he can't play tonight.
Stone was hurt midway through Saturday's game in San Jose and will be a game-time decision on Monday. If Stone can't play, expect Tomas Nosek to draw back into the lineup and Alex Tuch would most likely move into the top-6.
