Zuccarello missed the first month of the season after undergoing surgery on his right arm in early-December. He'll make his season debut on Tuesday but will be eased back into the lineup, starting on the fourth line with Luke Johnson and Gerald Mayhew. Zuccarello had 15 goals with 22 assists (37 points) in 65 games a season ago.

Last Friday, the Minnesota Wild announced that Zuccarello underwent right arm surgery in Norway and no timetable for his return has been established. Zuccarello broke his right arm in his first game with the Dallas Stars back in 2019 and he missed five weeks. With Zuccarello expected to miss some time to start the season, expect Jordan Greenway to be elevated into a top-6 role.
Zuccarello has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but will play Tuesday vs. the Oilers. Zuccarello had no points and a minus-6 rating in his first four games with the Wild. He will skate on the second-line with Eric Staal and Jordan Greenway on Tuesday.
The Wild lost Joel Eriksson Ek for at least a week, so they moved Zuccarello to IR to open up a roster spot to recall Gabriel Dumont from Iowa (AHL). There has been no indication when the Wild expect to have Zuccarello back.
Zuccarello was originally expected to accompany the team on their road-trip but was instead held back in Minnesota and will not play until they return home on Sunday at the earliest. Victor Rask Ryan Donato is the most likely candidate to draw back into the lineup and replace the veteran winger.
Zuccarello missed Sunday’s practice with “bumps and bruises” and may not play Monday against the Senators. The Wild shuffled their lines without Zuccarello and recalled Gerry Mayhew from Iowa (AHL).
Basically Zuccarello still has some discomfort in his arm and they will allow him to take morning skates off so that he is able to remain in the lineup. Through the first two games of the series, Zuccarello has one goal on one shot.
Zuccarello made a surprise return to the Stars lineup on Tuesday but will be shutdown for the rest of the regular season to ensure that he is ready to go for the playoffs. Zuccarello has one goal and two assists in two games with Dallas so they can only hope he is 100 percent in the postseason.
The Stars confirmed what was originally feared, a broken arm that will require surgery and cost him at least one month. This is a horrible break for the Stars, who paid a premium to acquire Zuccarello from the Rangers. However, if they can stay afloat in the Western Conference playoff race, Zuccarello should be available for some meaningful games down the stretch and ultimately the playoffs, should they make it.
Zuccarello’s career in Dallas got off to a great start, scoring a goal with an assist in his first 13:35 TOI before leaving the game with an upper-body injury. The Stars gave up a conditional second and third round pick for Zuccarello on Saturday and it looks like the veteran winger will be out until at least late-March.
Zuccarello had a slow start to the season, scoring just four goals with 10 assists (14 points) in his first 28 games but has collected seven goals and 16 assists (23 points) in his last 18 games. The Stars lacked some serious winger depth capable of playing in their top-6 and Zuccarello is a player capable of playing on a line with either Jamie Benn and/or Tyler Seguin.
Zuccarello was not on the ice for Monday’s practice which makes him questionable for Tuesday’s game due to a foot infection. This would be a tough break for owners who recently picked Zuccarello up expecting him to continue his red-hot streak.
Zuccarello has missed the last seven games with a groin injury but is expected to play Friday vs. the Coyotes. Zuccarello has been dealing with a groin injury since the start of November. He has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 17 games this season.
Zuccarello remains sidelined with a nagging groin injury. Zuccarello returned to the lineup on Friday but was scratched on Saturday and will miss his second straight game on Monday. With Zuccarello out again, Tim Gettinger was recalled and will play his second NHL game.
Zuccarello returned to the Rangers lineup on Friday but will be sidelined again on Saturday. It’s unclear if they Rangers are being cautious with the groin injury or if he suffered a setback, yet again. Tim Gettinger will replace him against the Capitals.
Zuccarello has missed six of the last seven games but is expected to play on Friday. Zuccarello has three goals and seven assists (10 points) in 16 games this season.
