Amadio had a career-high 16 points (6G / 10A) in 58 games a season ago but was held without a goal and just two assists in his first 20 games of 2021. In Ottawa, he will likely fill Artem Anisimov's fourth-line/reserve role after Anisimov was placed on waivers.
Amadio is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. the Avalanche and will be replaced Lias Andersson, who will make his Kings debut.
Amadio served as a healthy scratch for the last two games but will return to the lineup on Saturday. Amadio comes in with four points (2G / 2A) in 11 games this season.
Amadio was going to be a healthy scratch on Wednesday, so they send him back to Ontario to get some cap savings. The 22-year-old has just one goal in 13 games this season and heads back to Ontario where he had three assists in his season debut.
Amadio, 21, had one goal in an eight-game stint with the Kings earlier this year but has spent the majority of his time in the AHL, where he has collected 34 points (11G / 23A) in 30 games. Amadio centred the Kings third line in Tuesday’s practice, so look for him to be in the lineup when they face the Penguins on Thursday.
Amadio, 21, was a third round pick (No.90 overall) in 2014 and has earned his first career call-up following a two-assist in five-game start to the AHL season. The Canadian-born forward had 41 points (16G / 25A) in 68 games with the Reign a season ago.
