Del Zotto failed to record a point while playing 20:59 TOI/GM through the first two games of the season. On Tuesday he will come out of the lineup so Ben Hutton can make his season debut.
Del Zotto is not the best defenseman in his own end, but posts solid offensive totals. The 27-year-old had six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in 51 games last season and missed a total of 79 games due to injury over three years in Philadelphia. Del Zotto has had a hard time staying healthy, but can be a useful Fantasy piece when he’s on the ice.
Del Zotto has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury, but is healthy and ready-to-go. However, MDZ will not play on Wednesday as the Flyers will go with the same six defensemen that they’ve used in the last two games.
Del Zotto skated for the first time since January 21st when he has hit in the right leg by a puck against New Jersey. Del Zotto has missed the last three games and it seems likely that he will miss a fourth straight game on Tuesday, but he is nearing a return.
Del Zotto missed Sunday’s game in Brooklyn because of a lower-body injury. Del Zotto is dealing with a bruised leg after blocking a shot vs. the Devils on Saturday. Del Zotto will likely miss Wednesday and Thursday’s game, so look for Brandon Manning to stay in the lineup.
Del Zotto has two goals and two assists in his last six games, but will come out of the lineup tonight vs. the Oilers. Radko Gudas will get back in after missing three games with an illness.

Del Zotto will miss his fifth consecutive game on Monday, but he appears to be on-track to return when he is eligible to be activated from LTIR, which would be in-time for their November 5th game.
Del Zotto is expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season, so his move to IR simply opens up a roster spot for an extra player to make the Flyers roster out of training camp. Del Zotto’s injury means that rookie Ivan Provorov will play huge minutes to start his NHL career.
A day after losing Brandon Manning to injury, Del Zotto suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday’s preseason games against the Rangers. With Del Zotto out, Ivan Provorov is all but guaranteed to not only make the Flyers’ opening night roster but play major minutes as well.
Del Zotto suffered a wrist injury back on February 13th that will require surgery and will end his season. His injury means that Andrew MacDonald will likely remain with the Flyers. Del Zotto finishes the year with 13 points (4G / 9A) in 52 games.
