Neuvirth (lower-body) is expected to be healthy for Wednesday’s game.

Neuvirth has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but with Nathan Lieuwen heading back to the AHL it suggests that Neuvirth should be good to go for Wednesda vs. the Jets.

Neuvirth left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Sabres’ head coach Ted Nolan said that Neuvirth will be evaluated but “it’s not going to be day-to-day.” This is a tough break for Neuvirth who has played very well for a struggling Sabres team. This will leave Jhonas Enroth as the teams number-1 and with Matt Hackett nowhere close to ready, either Nathan Lieuwen or Andrey Makarov is expected to be recalled.

Neuvirth gets the start for the Sabres.

Despite saying that he would start Jhonas Enroth on Thursday, head coach Ted Nolan will roll with the hot-hand tonight vs. the Oilers. It will be Neuvirth’s third straight start. He is coming off of a 31-save performance in the Sabres’ 2-1 shootout loss to Montreal on Wednesday. He has a solid 2.60 GAA and .925 SV% this season but is definitely a risky fantasy net minder.

Neuvirth was the first goalie off of the ice this morning.

Sabres head coach Ted Nolan told the media on Thursday that Jhonas Enorth would get the start on Friday, but with Neuvirth leaving the ice first this morning, it looks like he will get the call. Coach Nolan should confirm it after the skate, but either way, neither of these guys is a strong fantasy start.
