Blankenburg was placed on the injured reserve retroactive to October 23rd with an elbow injury

Blankenburg left Sunday's game in New York with an upper-body injury and did not return. The Blue Jackets recalled Gavin Bayreuther from the AHL on Monday, suggesting that Blankenburg will be unavailable on Tuesday.
