Hischier missed Monday’s practice with an upper-body injury that he suffered Saturday during the third period in Boston. Travis Zajac centred the Devils top-line and Blake Coleman slotted in as the second-line centre with Hischier missing. He is day-to-day and unlikely to play on Tuesday.

Hischier has missed the last four games with a hand injury but will play Wednesday vs. the Canadiens. Hischier will be back on the top-line with Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri.
