El Nino draws out yet again for the Isles. He's still looking for his first point of the season and could very well be headed back to the Portland Winterhawks.
Niederreiter continues to sit as the Isles try to keep their top prospect away from a losing culture. The rookie has been held pointless over three games with a minus-4 rating.
If you own Niederreiter, make sure to bench him tonight. The rookie has no points through three games. He could very well return to the Portland Winterhawks after playing six more games.
Niederreiter is scheduled to make his 2011-2012 debut tonight. The Swiss winger scored three goals and four points over six games.
Niederreiter played well over six games in Bridgeport and will have nine more to play in New York before the Isles make a decision. Expect him to draw in on a scoring line.

The 5th overall pick has nothing left to prove at the WHL level but the Islanders would probably prefer not to rush their bluechip prospect.
