The Blues re-signed Oskar Sundqvist to a four-year extension worth $11.0 million ($2.75M AAV).

Sundqvist set career-highs in goals (14), assists (17) and points (31) in 74 games last season. Sundqvist was third among Blues forwards in SH/TOI (1:39), hits (101) and tied for sixth in blocked shots (31). The 25-year-old centre went on to add nine points (4G / 5A) in 25 playoff games to help St. Louis to the Stanley Cup.

Sundqvist will draw back into the Blues lineup for Game 4.

Sundqvist was suspended for Game 3 for his hit on Matt Grzelcyk in Game 2. Sundqvist will replace Robby Fabbri in the lineup for Game 4 and comes in with one assist in the series and nine points (4G / 5A) in 21 playoff games. He will centre the Blues’ fourth-line with Ivan Barbashev and Alex Steen on his wings.

The Blues have assigned Oskar Sundqvist to San Antonio (AHL).

Sundqvist was a heathy scratch for the last six games and will head to San Antonio to get some playing time. Sundqvist has just three assist in 30 games this season and will make his Rampage debut this week—he had 46 points (20G / 26A) in 63 AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season.

Sundqvist is expected to draw into the Blues lineup on Friday.

Sundqvist was a healthy scratch vs. the Ducks, but will draw back in to the lineup tonight vs. the Kings. Sundqvist will replace Sammy Blais and is expected to play with Patrik Burgled and Vladimir Sobotka. He has just three assists in 22 games this season.
