Subban has missed the last five games and will miss at least the next two games with an upper-body injury. Subban missed Wednesday’s practice and remains day-to-day. Subban could be back in the lineup vs. the Canadiens on January 3rd, a game you can imagine he doesn’t want to miss.
Subban missed Saturday’s game vs. the Rangers with an upper-body injury and did not travel with the team to Philadelphia, which means Petter Granberg is expected to remain in the lineup for Subban. Consider Subban as day-to-day.
Subban, 27, has become one of the top defensemen in the NHL since being drafted 43rd overall in 2007. He has turned in three straight 50-plus point seasons, but had a career-low six goals and 3.4% shooting percentage. Subban will likely slide onto the Predators’ top pair alongside Roman Josi, forming one of the NHL’s top offensive pairings.
Subban has been out since March 11th and will not play vs. the Panthers on Tuesday. The Canadiens only have three games left in the regular season, so there is no guarantee that he’ll be back before the 2016-17 season.

Subban took part in the Canadiens morning skate on Tuesday, but will be sidelined for a sixth consecutive game, however he is expected to return on Thursday vs. the Red Wings. The Canadiens are way out of the playoff picture, so don’t expect them to put Subban in their lineup until he is 100 percent healthy.
Subban missed Saturday’s game after being hospitalized with a neck injury on Thursday. He will be sitting out for the Canadiens’ back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday, but it looks like he could be back by the weekend, when they have another back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday.
Thankfully for the Canadiens and Subban owners, he suffered what is being classified as a “minor neck injury.” Despite the injury not being as serious as it originally looked, Subban is still day-to-day and will be sidelined for Saturday’s game. With Subban out, the Canadiens have just five healthy defensemen, so they will likely recall a blueliner from St. John’s on Friday afternoon.
Subban had to be taken off of the ice on a stretcher after being hit in the head by teammate Alexei Emelin. Subban was admitted to a nearby hospital for evaluation, but was released later in the night. Not having to spend the night at the hospital is a good sign that Subban’s neck injury is not as serious as originally feared. He will likely miss Saturday’s game, but at least it doesn’t look like his season is over.
Subban missed the morning skate with the flu, so he is listed as a game-time decision. Subban hasn’t missed many games in his NHL career, so expect him to play vs. the Blue Jackets.
Subban was given a game misconduct for slashing Mark Stone in Game 1, but won’t face any supplemental discipline. Stone reportedly suffered a micro fracture in his right wrist as a result and is “very questionable” to play again in the series.
Subban missed Thursday’s practice with an illness, but skated briefly prior to the Canadiens morning skate. He will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Kings and comes in with two goals and four assists in his last six games.
Subban, 25, filed for salary arbitration, but the Canadiens were able to work out a long-term deal with the 2012-12 Norris Trophy winner. He set a career high and finished fifth among defensemen in points with 53 (10G / 43A) in 2013-14. His $9 million dollar annual cap-hit makes him the highest paid NHL D-man by $1.2 over Shea Weber and even more than Sidney Crosby. He is a top-20 fantasy pick this season and could crack the first round in some drafts.
Subban was sick for the last few days but he will be in the lineup tonight when the Habs take on Carolina. Subban has played well since returning from his contract holdout. He has registered 3 G and 3 A in his first 8 games.
Subban will be a welcomed addition to the Habs roster. He is an exciting player and a solid fantasy contributer, get him in your lineup.
