Budaj turned aside 19 of 21 shots in the Kings’ win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Don’t look now, but Budaj has won three in a row and has stopped 67 of the 75 shots (.893 SV%) that he’s faced in four appearances. Budaj won’t post great numbers, but he could rack up wins as long as the Kings continue to limit their opponents to 22 shots per game.

The Kings have recalled Peter Budaj from Ontario (AHL).

Budaj has spent the entire season in the AHL with Ontario, where he has gone 26-9-3 with a 1.58 GAA and .935 SV%. He has been very impressive with the Reign and tonight he is expected to serve as Jhonas Enroth’s backup with Jonathan Quick out with an undisclosed injury.

Budaj cleared waivers and has been sent to St. John's (AHL).

After being acquired from the Canadiens, the Jets placed Budaj on waivers, now that he has cleared he will be the starter in St. John's. He is an excellent insurance policy for Ondrej Pavelec and Michael Hutchinson.

The Jets have placed Peter Budaj on waivers.

The Jets traded Eric Tangradi to the Canadiens for Budaj and minor-leaguer Patrick Holland on Sunday, but the Jets must be content with the duo of Ondrej Pavelec and Michael Hutchinson to start the season. Winnipeg is hoping that Budaj will clear waivers so he can stay in their system. The 32-year-old netminder was 10-8-3 with a 2.51 GAA and .909 SV% as Carey Price's backup last season. He had fallen behind Dustin Tokarski on the Habs' depth chart, thus making him expendable.

Budaj will start Wednesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Budaj gave up four goals on 43 shots in a 7-4 win over the Senators on Friday. He allowed three goals early in the first period, but shut the door while his team posted seven unanswered. He has not played a lot lately, but has gone 10-8-2 with a 2.49 GAA and .910 SV% this season.
