Pierre-Olivier Joseph News

The Penguins' blue-liner returns to the lineup after being scratched each of the last six games, with the last two being due to an illness. He has no goals and one assist in eight games this season.

Joseph has not played since November 4th, recovering from a lower-body injury, and has only played five total games this season. During a conditioning stint with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Joseph scored one point (0G / 1A) in two games. He will draw into the Penguins lineup Tuesday for Ryan Shea.

Joseph has not played since November 4th, recovering from a lower-body injury, and has only played five total games this season. As a result, he has been reassigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL for a conditioning stint and will presumably be recalled in the near future.

Joseph has not played since November 4th due to a lower-body injury but appears to be on the verge of a return to the lineup after being a full participant at the Penguins' practice on Wednesday. Before his injury, Joseph had one point (0G / 1A) in five games, averaging 13:05 time-on-ice, playing predominantly with Chad Ruhwedel on the Penguins' third defensive pairing.

Joseph has been a healthy scratch for the previous three games but will draw back into the Penguins lineup Tuesday vs. Montreal. The 23-year-old has four goals, 17 points, 84 SOG, 38 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 59 games played this season.

Joseph has not played in the last two games for Pittsburgh after leaving their game last week vs. Washinton due to a lower-body injury after playing just 6:41 TOI. He is a game-time decision Tuesday and will make a welcome addition to the lineup as he has four assists through 12 games with a +5 plus/minus rating and six PIMs while averaging 14:09 ATOI.

Joseph was selected No.23 overall in 2017 and is coming off of a 47-point (9G / 38A) campaign in the QMJHL. The 19-year-old has good size (6-foot-2, 168 lbs), terrific mobility and puck skills that should make him a point-producer in the NHL in the near future. With veterans clogging up the Penguins’ blueline, Joseph is likely headed to the AHL to start the 2019-20 season.
