Bortuzzo missed Tuesday’s game after suffering a lower-body injury in Toronto last Saturday. With Bortuzzo on IR, Jay Bouwmeester will remain in the Blues lineup going forward.

Bortuzzo scored a goal and played 17:46 TOI while replacing Jay Bouwmeester in the Blues lineup on Saturday, but suffered a lower-body injury in process. Bortuzzo returned to St. Louis to undergo some testing, so look for Bouwmeester to replace him in Winnipeg.

Bortuzzo has missed the last five games with a knee injury, but he is expected to play in Dallas this afternoon. Bortuzzo has just one goal and seven assists (eight points) in 55 games this season. He will likely replace Jordan Schmaltz in the lineup.

Bortuzzo was hurt in Saturday’s game vs. the Jets and has been moved to IR to create a roster spot to activate Joel Edmundson to take his spot in the lineup on Tuesday.

Bortuzzo was injured early in the third period of Thursday’s shootout loss to the Red Wings. Bortuzzo will miss 10 days, but Bortuzzo was in an out of the lineup anyways, so this isn’t a big loss for St. Louis.

Bortuzzo picked up just one shot on goal in 13:17 TOI in the Blues season opener on Wednesday. St. Louis is back in action tonight vs. the Wild, but Bortuzzo will sit and Carl Gunnarsson will replace him.
