Hagg appeared in 49 games with the Flyers in 2020, scoring three goals with 10 assists (13 points). The 25-year-old led the Flyers in hits (136) and was tied for fourth in blocked shots (79). Hagg will likely be the Flyers No.6 defenseman in 2021.
Hagg was a healthy scratch on Thursday but will replace Shayne Gostisbehere (undisclosed) in the lineup in Washington. Hagg has picked up one goal with eight assists (nine points) in 34 games this season.
Hagg will become the Flyers seventh defenseman with Shayne Gostisbehere returning from a knee injury on Thursday. That spot used to belong to Philippe Myers but he has leaped over Hagg on the depth chart with some strong play as of late.
Hagg was in the lineup for the last two games but will be replaced by Philippe Myers vs. the Sabres.
Hagg played Thursday vs. the Coyotes, skating 8:13 TOI and failing to pick up a point. Hagg, who has three assists in 17 games this season, will sit as the Flyers go back to 12 forwards and six defensemen. Mikhail Vorobyov will step in for Hagg.
Hagg played in five straight games but will be replaced by Philippe Myers on Saturday afternoon.
Hagg was a healthy scratch on Sunday but will replace Samuel Morin on Tuesday. Hagg has very little offensive ability, posting just one assist and seven shots in nine games this season.
Hagg must have suffered an injury in Boston on Thursday and will miss at least two weeks. With Johnny Oduya (undisclosed) also hurt, Travis Sanheim has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) and will play on Saturday.
