Ryan Donato News
With Mikko Koivu returning from an illness, Donato will sit as a healthy scratch vs. the Red Wings. Donato has scored one goal with one assist in his last eight games.
Donato was bumped to the fourth line with Jason Zucker back on Sunday but will come out of the lineup tonight in Pittsburgh. Donato, who has been held pointless in his last five games, will be replaced by Victor Rask in Pittsburgh.
Donato has appeared in 25 of 27 games this season but will be replaced by Victor Rask on Tuesday. Donato has picked up two goals and one assist in his last four games.
Donato played just 6:59 TOI last night and has produced just two helpers in 11 games this season, so with Kevin Fiala healthy, the Wild won’t hesitate to change up a losing lineup.
The Wild acquired Donato in the Charlie Coyle trade and the Harvard grad picked up 16 points (4G / 12A) in 22 games with Minnesota after the trade. The 24-year-old has gifted hands and middle-6 potential but his position to start 2020 is uncertain. He had a strong showing to end last season but the additions of Mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman will likely push him down the depth chart and maybe to the AHL to being the year.
Donato was a highly touted prospect coming out of Harvard University. The 22-year-old was picked in the second-round (No.56 overall) in 2014 and dazzled Bruins fans in a 12-game stint after turning pro late last season. However, Donato struggled to find his way this season, scoring just six goals with three assists (nine points) in 34 games. Since then he has been in the AHL, where he has 12 points (7G / 5A) in 18 games with Providence but could replace Coyle on the big-club as the Wild continue to push for a playoff berth.
Donato was a healthy scratch in the Bruins final game before the All-Star break and has been replaced on the active roster by Peter Cehlarik. Donato can’t seem to get anything going this season, scoring just six goals to go along with three assists in 34 games with Boston.
Donato was sent down at the start of November after picking up just one goal in his first 11 games of the season. Since going to Providence, the 22-year-old registered five goals and four assists (nine points) in 10 games. Donato could return to the Bruins lineup in a large role because Patrice Bergeron remains sidelined.
Donato was viewed as a young, breakout candidate in 2018-19, but has struggled early in the season. The former second-round pick had nine points in his first 12 games with the Bruins after leaving Harvard at the end of last season, but has picked up just one goal through 11 games this year. Donato will go to Providence to continue to develop and will likely return to Boston sometime in the near future.
Donato has been disappointing in the early portion of the season, scoring just once in six games. He will be a healthy scratch for the second time in four games and will be replaced by Anders Bjork.
Donato was a healthy scratch on Thursday but will likely draw in for Danton Heinen vs. the Red Wings. Donato has one goal on four shots while averaging 13:26 TOI/GM through his first three games of the season.
Donato was a minus-2 in 12:56 TOI on Monday and has just one goal in his first three games of the season. Donato will sit tonight with Joakim Nordstrom taking his spot on the second line and Anders Bjork playing on the top power-play unit.
Donato, 21, just wrapped up his third year at Harvard University where he collected 26 goals and 17 assists (43 points) in just 29 games. The Bruins are really banged up, so Donato could be thrust into a key role right from the get-go. The Boston native was a second round pick (No. 56 overall) in 2014.
