Murray will not play vs. the Flyers, but will travel with the team in order to take part in practice. Murray is now now 3 plus-weeks removed from surgery that was expected cost him 4-6 weeks. Murray is not quite at day-to-day status, but is definitely improving and could return for the final few games of the regular season.

The second overall pick in last year's draft probably could have played for the Blue Jackets last season if he had not hurt his shoulder. He is a complete defenseman who will have an impact this year. He had 17 points in 23 games on a WHL blueline last season, he should be able to translate his game into the NHL right away.
Given that he's missed most of this season, Murray is expected to need another year of seasoning before cracking the 2013-14 CBJ roster.
