Carrick, 22, has scored three goals with 13 assists (16 points) in 31 games with the Marlies this season. He spent five games with the Maple Leafs earlier in the year, but did not register a point. He could be in the lineup tonight vs. the Capitals.
Carrick was 'sent down' after Saturday's game, but it was simply a salary cap or 'paper move'. Toronto save $3,500 per day when he is not 'officially' on the roster. He played just over four minutes in his NHL debut on Saturday, so he is not fantasy relevant at this point of his career.
Carrick, 22, was a fifth round pick (144th overall) in 2010. He has been recalled to play while Joffrey Lupul is out with a broken hand. He had one assist in seven games with the Marlies prior to his recall.
Carrick just finished his fourth year with the Brampton Battalion, scoring 37 goals and 67 points in with 104 PIM in 68 games.
