Scott Nichol News

Nichol is recovering from surgery this summer on a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He has been practicing with the Blues since the start of training camp Sept. 16, but he has yet to be cleared to participate in exhibition games.

Nichol scored four goals and seven points in 56 games with the Sharks last season. Chalk him up for around 15-20 points and 80 PIM at the absolute most centering the fourth line.

Veteran center Scott Nichol, who was signed as a free agent this summer, is recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He has been cleared to practice, but is still awaiting an OK from the doctor to participate in preseason games.

The rugged pivot plays a gritty game, occasionally dropping the gloves in the process. However, he has not topped 100 PIM since before the lockout.
