In his first start vs. the Capitals, Wedgewood allowed three goals on 40 shots in a 3-2 OT loss.

Wedgewood allowed three goals on 45 shots in the Coyotes overtime loss in Vegas on Sunday. Antti Raanta has been cleared to play tonight, but Wedgewood will start tonight in Boston. He has appeared in the previous six games, posting a 2.44 GAA and .922 SV%.

While he’s filled in well for Antti Raanta, he draws a rough road matchup tonight in Calgary. The Flames have won five of their last seven home games.

Going on back-to-back nights can be tough, but Wedgewood should be well rested and has a decent matchup in Detroit.

Wedgewood served as a backup on Saturday after being acquired from New Jersey and tonight he will make his debut in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old spent most of last season in Albany (AHL) where he was 5-3-0 with a 2.18 GAA and .912 SV%. The former third round pick will be their starter until Antti Raanta returns from injury.
