Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 27 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. Not an ideal return for Bobrovsky, who will go again tonight vs. the Flames. Bobrovsky, who is just 4-7-1 with a 3.02 GAA and .897 SV% on home ice, draws a nice matchup with the Flames having lost four of their previous five games.
Bobrovsky will return to the Blue Jackets crease for the first time since December 8th—he stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 3-2 OT loss that night and comes into Tuesday at 11-12-1 with a 2.52 GAA and .916 SV% on the season. His first start back doesn’t come with an easy matchup with the Capitals in town.
Bobrovsky was injured late in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Kings and will be out three the month of December. Curtis McElhinney becomes the Blue Jackets' starter through the rest of December, beginning Thursday in Winnipeg.
