When hall suffered an upper-body injury on October 1st, the Bruins described him as week-to-week. Hall progressed quicker than expected and is expected to play in the Bruins' season opener in Washington. Hall skated on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk in Monday's practice.

That doesn't paint the entire picture though, Hall has shot just 2.3 percent with a career-low 6.7 on-ice SH%, so there's certainly reason to expect him to post bigger numbers in Boston. Hall will almost certainly play on the second line with David Krejci.
With the trade deadline less than a week away, the Sabres will keep Hall out of the lineup on Tuesday for precautionary reasons. With Hall out, look for C.J. Smith to draw into the Sabres lineup.

Hall was on the ice for warmups last night but was a late-scratch in Colorado. Hall will sit out for a second straight game with New Jersey nearing a deal to trade the pending UFA. It looks like Hall has played his final game as a New Jersey Devil.
