Greiss has won four of his last five starts while posting an .885 SV% and he’s allowed five goals in back-to-back games. Greiss stopped 44 of 47 shots in a 3-2 OT loss in his first start versus the Flyers this season.
Greiss surrendered five goals on 24 shots in the Islanders’ loss in Detroit on Friday. J-F Berube started on Saturday, but they’l go back to Greiss tonight vs.the Maple Leafs. He won his first start vs. Toronto and comes in at 10-4-1 with a 2.25 GAA and .924 SV% on home ice.
Greiss allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Islanders’ win over the Capitals on Tuesday. Greiss has been great, winning five of his last six starts while posting a 1.32 GAA, .955 SV% and two shutouts. The Islanders have turned things around and head to Detroit to face a struggling Red Wings team.
Greiss allowed one goal on 22 shots in the Islanders’ win over the Canadiens last Thursday. Greiss has won four of his last five games while allowing just six goals on 147 shots (.959 SV%) with two shutouts. Greiss is fresh off of a contract extension, but will be in tough against the Capitals tonight.
Greiss, 31, has gone 14-7-3 with a 2.25 GAA and .928 SV% this season and has played very well since the Islanders sent Jaroslav Halak to Bridgeport (AHL). The Islanders clearly trust Greiss as their potential No.1 over the next few seasons and have locked him in through the 2020 season.

Greiss has played really well in the Islanders goal and comes into tonight having won three of four while posting a 1.23 GAA, .960 SV% and two shutouts. In his only other start against the Canadiens, Greiss allowed three goals on 29 shots in a 3-2 loss back in October.
Greiss allowed three goals on 47 shots in the Islanders’ loss to the Flyers on Sunday. Greiss has gone 3-2-3 with a 2.10 GAA and .936 SV% in eight January starts and will make his 23rd start of the season tonight vs. Columbus. He is 7-4-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .922 SV% at the Barclays Center this season.
Greiss stopped all 32 shots that he faced in the Islanders’ shutout win in Boston on Monday. Greiss will make his eighth consecutive start and comes in having gone 3-2-2 with a 2.27 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout in his last seven. He will take on a Stars team that is sitting at .500 and ranks 14th in the NHL in scoring (2.74 GF/PG).
Greiss gave up seven goals on 43 shots in the Islanders’ loss in Carolina on Saturday. It was a rough outing for Greiss, who has gone 2-2-2 with a 2.65 GA and .918 SV% in six starts since Jaroslav Halak was sent to the AHL. In his first start vs. the Bruins, Greiss stopped 48 of 50 shots in a 4-2 win. He’ll be looking for a similar outing this afternoon.
