Hertl tested positive for COVID-19 and head coach Bob toughener said he'll miss at least two weeks as he follows protocol. With the Sharks back in action on Saturday, look for Alexander Chmelevski to replace Hertl in the lineup.

Hertl was forced to leave Wednesday's game after only a few shifts after falling awkwardly in a collision with Chris Tanev. Hertl tore both his MCL and ACL and will miss the rest of the season. An already difficult season for San Jose just got a whole lot worse. They'll now be without both of their top-2 centres for an extended period of time.
Hertl has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but will be a game-time decision vs. the Kings on Friday. The Sharks are expected to go back to 12 forwards and six defensemen if Hertl plays.

Hertl has enjoyed a career year, setting career-highs in goals (35), assists (39) and points (74) in 77 games. The 25-year-old has six goals and three assists in 10 playoff games a year ago.
