Tatar took a shot off of his foot and was forced to leave towards the end of the session. Head coach Claude Julien said he had no update but Tatar was being evaluated, so expect an update in the next 24 hours.
Tatar missed Friday’s game in Anaheim but will play against his former team tonight. Tatar has been held off of the scoresheet in his last three games but has 22 goals and 26 assists (48 points) in 67 games this season.
Tatar missed Tuesday’s game vs. the Ducks but is expected to play Thursday vs. the Jets. Tatar will be back on a line with Max Domi and Matthew Peca. He has 16 goals and 23 assists (39 points) in 53 games this season.
Tatar missed the morning skate with the flu but head coach Claude Julien said that there’s a chance that he could play tonight. Tatar has been hot recently, scoring two goals with four assists (six points) in his last six games.
No one expected the Golden Knights to be buyers at their first trade deadline but here we are. Tatar has picked up 16 goals and 12 assists (28 points) in 62 games with the Red Wings this season and should be a great fit on Vegas’ third line with Cody Eakin and Alex Tuch.
Tatar was a late scratch from Wednesday’s game vs. the Blues, but he did practice this afternoon. Coach Jeff Blashill said that Tatar did not feel very well, but he is expected to play on Friday.
Tatar missed Monday's practice with an illness, but he is back on the ice for the this morning's gameday skate, so he should be good to go tonight vs. the Blue Jackets.
The mumps virus has swept the NHL and the Red Wings have not had booster shots, so you have to worry when their players start missing practice due to illness. Monitor his status on Tuesday in advance of their game vs. Columbus.
Tatar left a game last week after being kneed in the head by a linesman. There has been no reports of Tatar struggling with headaches or anything, so expect him to be ready to go in the Red Wings' season opener on Thursday.
Tatar was injured on Wednesday but passed the concussion test and is not suffering from any headaches, which is a great sign for the 23-year-old. Expect him to be in the lineup on October 9th and push for 20-plus goals this season.
Tatar was cross-checked in the linesman direction. When the linesman jumped to try and avoid a potential collision his knee caught Tatar in the head. Tatar wobbled off of the ice, but head coach Mike Babcock said Tatar is fine. The Red Wings are already dealing with injuries to Pavel Datsyuk and Gustav Nyquist, so losing Tatar for a period of time would be a rough way to start the season.
