Travis Moen News

Petteri Nokelainen and Travis Moen are injured and out of the lineup for the Canadiens’ game against mighty Detroit at the Bell Centre Wednesday night.

Moen sits out tonight's game as the Habs hope extra rest allows him to heal. He has nine goals and 16 points through 46 games en route to career highs across the board.

Moen (leg) and Plekanec (face) both practised today and are expected to play tomorrow.

Moen practiced on his normal line this morning and should be able to play tomorrow. He has nine goals and 15 points through 15 games as he looks to top career highs across the board.

Moen-Pleks-Cole

Moen moves up to the top line and will likely give Erik Cole and Tomas Plekanec some space. Last season he scored six goals and 16 points through 79 games. Through his first two tilts, he already potted a goal and an assist. He could add some short-term value to your fantasy hockey team.

Injured Travis Moen was the only sick-bay skater seen on early-morning ice, working out alone on the rink for maybe 20 minutes.

When healthy, Moen will be expected to help the team's bottom two lines. He managed six goals and 16 points through 79 games for the Habs, adding 96 PIM. Don't expect much more from him in fantasy hockey terms.
