Rask has missed the last two games with a concussion that he suffered in practice, but will dress tonight vs. the Sharks. With Khudobin going tonight, you can fully expect to see Rask on Saturday vs. the Kings.
Rask missed the last two games with a concussion, but he was on the ice with Bruins’ goalie coach Bob Essensa before Bruins practice this morning which is a good sign. Rask doesn’t have a timetable for his return, but his next step would be to get into practice. In the mean time, the Bruins will continue to lean on Anton Khudobin.
Rask left Wednesday’s practice after a collision with forward Anders Bjork and was not on the ice this morning. Rask is day-to-day and is expected to be re-evaluated on Friday. With Rask out, Anton Khudobin will start and Zane McIntyre has been recalled to serve as the Bruins’ backup.
Ahead of Thursday’s game vs. the Canucks, Rask had to be helped off of the ice after getting bowled over by Bjork. This is not good news for the Bruins, but if Rask misses any time look for Anton Khudobin to start tomorrow.
Rask allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Bruins’ 4-0 loss to Colorado on Monday. Rask didn’t get any goal support in this one and has given up three goals in each of his first two starts of the season. Tonight he will get a second crack at the Avalanche—he was 17-10-4 with a 2.41 GAA and .914 SV% on the road last season.

It was a nice start to the season for Rask, who had three days off between then and today’s start vs. the Avalanche. Rask has excellent numbers (1.83 GAA /.937 SV%) during his career vs. Colorado, but that has translated into just one win in six tries.

Rask has been a reliable No.1 fantasy option for years and he hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down. Tonight he will take on a Predators team without Patrice Bergeron, David Backes or Torey Krug. Nashville averaged 2.90 goals for per game a year ago.
