Anaheim Ducks News

Husso has been recalled from San Diego (AHL).

Husso was traded to Anaheim from the Detroit Red Wings two weeks ago. The 29-year-old Husso compiled a 36-32-11 record and an .892 SV% across parts of three seasons in Detroit, and was ultimately the odd-man out in a Red Wings crease that includes Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon. He will likely serve as the backup to Lukas Dostal on Friday night.

Ville Husso
Dostal will start vs. St. Louis on Friday.

The Ducks will turn to Dostal between the pipes on Friday against the St. Louis Blues. Dostal entered Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks in relief of an injured John Gibson (lower body), saving 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%) in the effort. The 24-year-old Czech goalie has a 2.87 GAA and .911 SV% in 38 games this season (18-15-5). The Ducks enter Friday's contest as +137 home underdogs against a Blues squad with points in seven of their last eight (6-1-1).

Kylington will be a healthy scratch on Thursday vs. San Jose.

With Josh Manson returning from injury and Keaton Middleton drawing back into the lineup, Oliver Kylington and Sam Malinski will be healthy scratches on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. The 27-year-old Kylington is averaging 12:59 time-on-ice and has four points (1G / 3A) in 13 games with Colorado this season.

The Ducks have acquired Herman Traff and a 2025 conditional 2nd Round Pick from the Devils for Brian Dumoulin.

Traff was a third-round pick, 91st overall, of the Devils in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old forward has yet to play and NHL game. He scored seven points (3G / 4A) in 25 games with HV7a Jonkoping (SweHL) this season.

Herman Träff
Gibson left Wednesday's game vs. Anaheim with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Gibson was sidelined for a few games last week due to an injury and returns to the sidelines, exiting Wednesday's contest with a lower-body injury. The 31-year-old Gibson has been solid between the pipes this season but has battled through several injuries, posting a 2.82 GAA and .909 SV% in 26 games (9-10-2).

John Gibson
Gibson will start in Vancouver on Wednesday.

The Ducks will turn back to Gibson between the pipes on Wednesday after Lukas Dostal got the nod in the front-end of their back-to-back on Tuesday. Gibson struggled in his last outing, allowing six goals on 24 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Blackhawks on Saturday. The 12-year-veteran owns a 9-10-2 record on the season to go along with a .909 SV%. Gibson and the Ducks enter action on Wednesday at +160 on the money line.

John Gibson
Dostal will start in Edmonton on Tuesday.

After getting a night off on Saturday, Dostal will be tasked with handling Connor McDavid and the Oilers on Tuesday. Dostal excelled in his last start, allowing just two goals on 24 shots in a 5-2 victory over the Canucks on Thursday. The 24-year-old netminder owns a 17-14-5 record and an impressive .910 SV% on the season. He'll need to be at his best again on Tuesday as the Ducks enter action at +275 on the money line.

Zegras is expected to return to Anaheim's lineup from his three-game suspension on Tuesday in Edmonton.

Zegras was issued a three-game suspension for a hit on Michael Rasmussen of the Detroit Red Wings last week. The 23-year-old Zegras will be eligible to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Edmonton Oilers. He is averaging 17:03 time-on-ice and has 16 points (7G / 9A) in 34 games this season.

Trevor Zegras
Fabbri (upper-body) has been placed on IR.

The often-injured Fabbri unfortunately returns to a familiar spot on the Injured Reserve. The 29-year-old forward has played more than 60 games in a season only three times in his nine-year career. He has 16 points (8G / 8A) in 44 games with the Ducks this season.

Robby Fabbri
Dostal will start vs. Vancouver on Thursday.

The Ducks have narrowly lost their previous two games, falling by a single goal in both contests and will hope for a better result on Thursday, rolling with Dostal between the pipes against the Vancouver Canucks. The 24-year-old Dostal played well in his most recent outing but did not receive ample goal support, saving 34 of 37 shots (.919 SV%) in a 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. He has a 2.93 GAA and .910 SV% in 35 games this season (16-14-5). The Ducks enter the action on Thursday as +116 home underdogs against a Canucks squad that defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 last night.

Lukas Dostal
Colangelo has been recalled from San Diego (AHL).

Colangelo was the 36th overall pick of the Ducks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old forward played 12 games with the Ducks earlier this season, scoring one goal, but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, tallying 35 points (19G / 16A) in 38 games with the San Diego Gulls.

Sam Colangelo
Dostal will start in Buffalo on Tuesday.

With John Gibson (upper-body) unavailable, the Ducks will turn to Dostal between the pipes for the 32nd time this season. Dostal was busy his last time out, allowing five goals on 36 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss in Detroit on Sunday. The loss snapped a personal five-game winning streak for the 24-year-old netminder. Dostal will have to be at his best if he wants to get back in the win column on Tuesday as the Ducks enter action at +160 on the money line.
