Vatrano has had a down year in Florida, scoring just 10 goals with nine assists (19 points) in 49 games. Vatrano has scored at a 23 goals per 82 game pace in his first three seasons with the team but is on a 17-goal pace this season. Vatrano should see more important ice time in New York than her did in Florida this year.
Helleson was acquired from the Avalanche in the Josh Manson trade on Monday and signed with the Ducks on Tuesday. Helleson, who has 25 points (4G / 21A) in 32 games at Boston College this season, is expected to play in the AHL after the college season is over.
Helleson was a fourth-round pick in 2019 and is coming off of a great season at Boston College, scoring four goals with 21 assists (25 points) in 32 games.
Lundestrom missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but travelled to New Jersey and is expected to play Saturday. Lundestrom will likely replace Danny O'Regan in the lineup.
Zegras missed Thursday's game in Nashville but is expected to replace Sam Steel in the lineup on Saturday. Zegras has played very well as of late, scoring four goals with six assists (10 points) in his last nine games.
Head coach Jeff Blashill suspects that Fabbri tore his ACL, which would be the third time he's suffered a torn ACL. It is not the same knee as previous tears but it will once again be a long road back for Fabbri.
Silfverberg suffered an undisclosed injury in Chicago on Tuesday and will miss at least one week after being placed on IR on Thursday. The move was made to clear space on the roster for the Ducks to recall Vinni Lettieri, Buddy Robinson and Danny O'Regan.
