McGinn and Bryan Rust were added to the COVID-19 protocol list this afternoon, so the Penguins will have to for with 11 forwards and seven defensemen in Dallas. Jeff Carter and Mark Friedman will draw into the lineup.
Despite clearing COVID-19 protocol, Zegras will sit out on Thursday. Head coach Dallas Eakins said that "[Zegras] is not very happy with me right now," so it sounds like Zegras wanted to be in the lineup and should play Saturday vs. the Rangers.
Both Harkins and Dylan DeMelo entered COVID-19 protocol this morning, so Nathan Beaulieu and Cole Perfetti will draw into the lineup on Thursday.
The Ducks are going to re-test Gibson but Anthony Stolarz is expected to start vs. the Red Wings if Gibson is not available.
Zegras has not played since December 17th but is expected to play Thursday vs. the Red Wings. With Ryan Getzlaf still out, Zegras will likely play massive minutes on Thursday.
Fowler suffered what appeared to be a head/neck/shoulder related upper-body injury when he crashed into the board in Vancouver on Wednesday.
Fowler left Wednesday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return. The Ducks did not have much of an update on his status on Thursday but he was able to skate on his own and is questionable to play in Vegas.
According to the Ducks, Zegras is asymptomatic but he will likely miss all three games this week and may not be back until the middle of next week.
Sustr may have been in line for some game action on Tuesday with Mikhail Sergachev added to the protocol list on Sunday but now his addition means Darren Raddysh will likely make his NHL debut.
Both Leason and Beck Malenstyn were sent to the AHL on Monday, seemingly opening the door for Tom Wilson to return to the lineup on Tuesday. Michael Sgarbossa also tested out of COVID-19 protocol and will be available to play Tuesday.
Gudas is one of five Panthers that entered COVID-19 protocol this week, putting Thursday's game vs. the Kings in jeopardy.
