Korpisalo will start against the Devils on Friday.

Korpisalo was terrific in his first game back from the Christmas break and will return to the crease on Friday. The 29-year-old Korpisalo saved 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, his first win under the new Jacques Martin era in Ottawa. The Senators, winners of two straight, are slight +101 home underdogs in their first matchup of the season against the New Jersey Devils, who have points in three of their last four (2-1-1).

Korpisalo will start in Toronto on Wednesday.

Korpisalo did not play in the Senators' last game, their first win in seven attempts, but will return to the crease on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Korpisalo has struggled lately, losing five straight, allowing four or more goals in each, and posting an ugly .861 SV% in the process. The Senators lost 4-3 to the Maple Leafs earlier this month, with Anton Forsberg between the pipes, and are +137 road underdogs against them on Wednesday evening.

Jeremy Swayman will start Wednesday in Buffalo.

Swayman allowed five goals on 33 shots in his last games (.848 SV%) in a 5-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on December 22nd and will look to rebound when he returns to the crease on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres. In recent outings against the Sabres, the Bruins have opted to start former Sabres' netminder Linus Ullmark but are using a different approach by turning to Swayman after losing 3-1 to the Sabres earlier this month. Swayman has lost three straight games (0-1-2) despite only allowing two goals in two of them, posting a .912 SV%.

Tyler Johnson (undisclosed) is expected to return after a one-game absence Wednesday vs. Winnipeg.

Johnson did not play in the Blackhawks' last game due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the lineup on Wednesday as Cole Guttman will be a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old Johnson has only one point (1G / 0A), a -4 plus/minus, and 15 shots in his last seven games.

The Bruins have recalled Ian Mitchell from Providence (AHL) on an emergency basis.

The emergency recall of Mitchell suggests that a Bruins' defenseman picked up an injury during Friday's loss in Winnipeg. With the back-to-back, don't expect the Bruins to reveal who is ailing until around 5:00 PM ET.

Swayman led the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Swayman, as are the Bruins, is winless in his last two outings, but he will return to the crease on the front end of a back-to-back on Friday. Despite sporting only a .500 record in his last four (2-0-2), Swayman has a stellar .958 SV%, only allowing five total goals, and has been a victim of porous goal support from his team. The Bruins have lost four of their last six (2-1-3) and matchup evenly at -105 against the Winnipeg Jets, who have points in four straight games (3-0-1).

Mason Lohrei will draw back into the Bruins lineup Friday vs. Winnipeg.

Lohrei will draw back into the lineup for the Bruins on Friday as Matt Grzelcyk (upper body) did not travel with the team and will miss at least the next two games. In 15 games this season, Lohrei has five points (2G / 3A), 22 shots, eight blocks, and 26 hits while averaging 16:59 time-on-ice.

Korpisalo will start in Colorado on Thursday.

Korpisalo will start for the second time in as many games under interim head coach Jacques Martin when the Senators travel to Colorado on Thursday. Korpisalo was on the losing end of Tuesday's game in Arizona, allowing four goals on 38 shots in the 4-3 defeat. He owns an underwhelming .892 SV% and a 3.54 GAA to go along with his 6-10-0 record on the season. Things won't get any easier for Korpisalo on Thursday, with the Senators being +140 underdogs in Denver.
