Boston Bruins News
The recently signed McLaughlin did not appear in a game with Providence. He could make his NHL debut on Monday with Patrice Bergeron out and Jack Studnicka questionable.
Lindholm was acquired from the Ducks on Saturday night and is reportedly nearing an extension with his new team. He will not play Monday in Montreal but is expected to make his debut vs. the Lightning on Thursday.
Bergeron will miss his third straight game on Monday and will be re-evaluated later in the week. The Bruins return to action vs. the Lightning on home-ice on Thursday, so monitor Bergeorn's status heading into that game.
Johnson's move to IR is retroactive to March 12th, so he's eligible to return whenever he's back to 100 percent. In addition to Johnson, Connor Murphy (concussion) was also placed on IR on Friday.
Bergeron was returned to Boston to have his arm treated, so he'll miss the last two games of the Bruins' road trip. Jack Studnicka was recalled from Providence (AHL) this morning and will take his spot in the lineup.
Zacha left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury just 2:40 into the game after getting hit while taking a shot and sliding heavily into the boards. Head coach Lindy Ruff called him doubtful to play Wednesday, so look for Mason Geertsen to draw into the lineup.
The contract will carry an $883,750 AAV cap hit for the undrafted free agent out of Boston College. The 22-year-old forward leads Boston College in goals (21) and is second in points (32) in 33 games this season.
Tufte played in three straight games with the Stars but was sent back to the AHL to make room to call-up Adam Scheel from the AHL. Scheel is needed to serve as Jake Oettinger's backup with Braden Holtby dealing with an injury. Jacob Peterson will replace Tufte in the Stars' bottom-6.
The Ducks will be without Ryan Getzlaf, Isac Lundestrom and Jakob Silfverberg on Thursday, so Lettieri, Danny O'Regan and Buddy Robinson were called up from the AHL. Lettieri has scored five goals with three assists (eight points) in 17 NHL games this season.
Regula has spent most of the season in the AHL, tallying 17 points (2G / 15A) in 28 games with Rockford. He will replace Riley Stillman on the Blackhawks blueline on Tuesday but has failed to record a point in his first seven career NHL games.
