Korpisalo leads the Blue Jackets onto the ice for warmups.

Korpisalo has struggled in his last three starts, allowing a combined 10 goals on 56 shots (.821 SV%). With Bobrovsky sick, Korpisalo will make his eight start of the season tonight. The 24-year-old allowed four goals on 41 shots in a 5-4 win in his first start vs. the Panthers.

McAvoy (concussion) will not travel on the Bruins upcoming road-trip.

McAvoy has missed the last eight games with a concussion and isn’t expected to return any time soon. McAvoy will not travel at the start of the Bruins road-trip, so he’ll miss at least Wednesday’s game in Colorado and likely their back-to-back on Friday and Saturday.

The Devils have recalled Pavel Zacha from Binghamton (AHL).

Zacha struggled to start the season with New Jersey, failing to pick up a point in his first 10 games. Since being sent to Binghamton, the former No.6 overall pick had five assists in four games. Zacha has been brought back up because Brian Boyle has landed on IR.

Rask will start Monday vs. the Stars.

Rask allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Bruins loss to the Canadiens on October 27th. Jaroslav Halak started the last two games, but they’ll go back to Rask tonight to kick-off a four-game week. Rask has had his struggles this season, but is 2-1-0 with a 2.37 GAA and .920 SV% on home-ice.

The Devils assigned Pavel Zacha to Binghamton (AHL).

Zacha has not recorded a point in 10 games this season, so he heads to the AHL for the first time since 2015-16. Zacha has been a solid defensive centre for the Devils, but they were expecting to get more offence out of him when they picked him No.6 overall in 2015. His move to the AHL will allow him to play huge offensive minutes and try to re-discover that part of his game.

The Bruins have placed Charlie McAvoy (upper-body) on IR.

McAvoy’s move to IR is retroactive to October 18th, so he’s eligible to return whenever he is 100 percent. McAvoy did not skate on Monday after retuning to the ice on Saturday, so his move to IR suggests that he may have suffered a setback. McAvoy won’t play Tuesday, but monitor his status as the week progresses.

Korpisalo will start Saturday against the Sabres.

Korpisalo allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Blue Jackets win in St. Louis on Thursday. Korpisalo has won each of his first three starts this season, despite posting a below average 3.29 GAA and .898 SV%. He continues to steal starts from Sergei Bobrovsky and makes for a decent option against the 25th ranked offence in the NHL (2.60 GF/PG).

Rask will start Saturday vs. the Canadiens.

Rask allowed one goal on 39 shots in the Bruins win in Ottawa on Tuesday. Rask has won three of his last four starts while allowing a combined 12 goals on 134 shots (.911 SV%). Tonight he faces the Canadiens for the first time this season, but was 3-0-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .935 SV% against them last year.
