Just minutes before the Free Agency deadline, Buffalo has announced that they have extended 23-year-old defenseman Ryan Johnson to a three-year, $2.325 million contract extension ($775,000 AAV). The Sabres have signed Jack Quinn to a two-year extension worth $3.375M AAV ($6.75M total).

He's now averaging 45 points (18G / 27A) per 82 games for his NHL career, so the Sabres signed him to a two-year bridge deal to see if he can unlock any more offence.
