Andersen is 5-0-1 despite posting a 3.17 GAA and .902 SV% in his last six starts thanks to his teammates averaging 5.17 goals per game in front of him. Tonight he takes on a Jets team that has lost four in a row one home-ice, averring 2.50 goals per game.

Andersen will start Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Andersen gave up six goals on 40 shots in the Maple Leafs' 8-6 win over the Hurricanes on Monday afternoon. Andersen is on a four-game winning streak despite posting a 3.25 GAA and .899 SV%. Under Sheldon Keefe the Maple Leafs are scoring 4.06 goals per game, so there will be plenty of goal-support for Andersen, but his splits could continue to take a hit.

Kotkaniemi (concussion) will return to the Canadiens lineup on Saturday.

Kotkaniemi has missed the last eight games with a concussion but will play Saturday in Tampa Bay. Kotkaniemi will replace Joel Armia, who is now week-to-week with an upper-body ailment. Kotkaniemi has scored just three goals and two assists (five points) in 22 games this season.

Andersen allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Maple Leafs win in Edmonton on Saturday. Andersen has won three of their last four starts while posting a 2.04 GAA and .938 SV%. Tonight he will face the Sabres for the second time this season--he stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 2-1 OT win on November 30th.

The Coyotes have acquired Taylor Hall and Blake Speers from the Devils for Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr, Kevin Bahl, a 2020 first-round pick and 2021 conditional third-round pick.

Hall is a pending unrestricted free agent, so this could be a pure rental but the Coyotes are expected to pursue an extension. Hall will look to improve his numbers in Arizona to maximize his next deal and he could benefit from playing on a line with Phil Kessel. Hall's numbers so far are still decent, scoring six goals one 109 shots (5.5 SH%) with 19 assists (25 points) in 30 games.

Andersen allowed four goals on 24 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-2 loss to the Flames on Thursday. He had a good night going before everything fell apart in the third period and snapping his brief two-game winning streak. On the season, Andersen is 8-4-0 with a 2.43 GAA, .922 SV% and one shutout on the road this year and gets set to face an Oilers team that has lost three in a row and six of their last eight.

It was a brilliant outing for Andersen, who has won six of his last eight while posting a 1.88 GAA, .939 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he'll take on a Flames team that is riding a six-game winning streak while scoring 4.00 goals per game.
