Chicago has acquired Ilya Mikheyev (15% retained), Sam Lafferty’s rights, and a 2027 2nd round pick from Vancouver for a 2027 4th round pick.

Mikheyev is heading into the third-year of a four-year deal that carries a $4.75M AAV cap-hit. As a part of the trade, the Canucks are retaining 15% of that remaining term. The 29-year-old winger is coming off of one of the most productions seasons of his career, he had 31 points (11G / 20A) while appearing in a career-high 78 games. He should fit into the Blackhawks' middle-6 in 2025.

Chicago has signed Cole Guttman to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Guttman had four goals and eight points in 27 games with the Blackhawks in 2023-24 and signed a one-year, two-way contract extension on Thursday. The 25-year-old centre will be entering his third NHL season in 2024-25 and has eight goals, 14 points and nine PIMs in 41 career NHL contests.

Smith is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 4 on Wednesday vs. Edmonton.

Smith has appeared in 14 of 16 playoff games for Dallas this offseason but will take a seat on Wednesday as Radek Faksa takes his place in the lineup for Game 4. The 34-year-old veteran has yet to find the back of the net in 14 playoff games played, but has two assists, 14 SOG and two PIMs.

Chicago has signed Zach Sanford to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.

Chicago announced Tuesday afternoon that they have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract extension worth $775,000 with forward Zach Sanford. The 29-year-old appeared in 29 games in 2023-24 with both Chicago and Arizona and had no goals, six assists, 24 SOG and six PIMs in his seventh NHL season.

Chicago has signed Martin Misiak to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Misiak was Chicago's 2023 second-round pick (55th overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with an AAV of $878,333. The 19-year-old winger just finished his first OHL season with the Erie Otters and had 23 goals and 47 points in 60 games in his second season of North American hockey.

Mikheyev has missed the Canucks previous two games due to an undisclosed injury but will return for Game 7 on Monday vs. Edmonton. The 29-year-old has struggled during this year's postseason, failing to pick up a point to go along with his 11 SOG and -4 plus/minus in 10 games played prior to his injury.

Chicago has signed Seney to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Seney had yet another strong AHL campaign in 2023-24 with Rockford after putting up 23 goals and 63 points in 68 games played and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with Chicago. The 28-year-old has been the definition of a AAAA player for Chicago as he's dominated the AHL for the past few years but cannot seem to put it together in the NHL with only one goal in 15 games in the last four seasons.

Mikheyev (undisclosed) is out on Thursday for Game 5 and considered day-to-day.

Mikheyev has been held pointless through 10 playoff games and is out on Thursday for Game 5 due to an undisclosed injury as he is replaced by Nils Hoglander. The 29-year-old had 11 goals and 31 points in 78 regular season games but has been snake-bitten with 11 SOG through 10 playoff games.

Chicago has signed Lukas Reichel to a two-year, $2.4 million contract ($1,200,000 AAV).

Reichel just finished his second season in Chicago and had six goals, 16 points, 84 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -29 plus/minus in 65 games played and signed a two-year, $2.4 million contract ($1,200,000 AAV) on Tuesday. The 21-year-old was Chicago's 2020 first-round pick (17th overall) and has 32 points (12G/20A) in his first 99 career games played in the NHL.

Chicago has signed Alex Vlasic to a six-year, $27.6 million ($4,600,000 AAV) contract extension.

Vlasic was the 43 overall pick of the Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and just completed his first full NHL season. In 76 games with the Blackhawks this season, the 22-year-old defenseman recorded 16 points (2G / 14A).

Murphy (undisclosed) will be out on Thursday after tweaking something last game.

Murphy played the last three games for the Blackhawks but will not play in their season finale after suffering an undisclosed injury. The 31-year-old Murphy ends the 2023-24 campaign with eight points (2G / 6A) in 46 games.

The Blackhawks will turn to Soderblom between the pipes on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings for their final game of the season. Soderblom allowed five goals on 40 shots (.875 SV%) in his last outing, a 5-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, and has a 3.88 GAA and .880 SV% in 31 games (5-22-1) this season. The Blackhawks enter action as +306 road underdogs.

Brodie was a healthy scratch for Toronto's previous contest but will draw back into the lineup for game 82 vs. Tampa Bay on Wednesday. The 33-year-old has struggled mightily lately and will look to take steps forward in righting the ship before the playoffs. Through 77 games played this season, he has yet to score but has 25 assists, 51 SOG, 40 PIMs and a +17 plus/minus.
