Georgiev will start Game 2 on Tuesday in Winnipeg.

After a disappointing 7-6 game one loss to the Winnipeg Jets, Colorado will turn to Georgiev for a second straight game. The Avalanche enter action on Tuesday as -115 road favourites in game two.

Holm has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Holm was a last-minute inclusion on the Avalanche roster in their game one matchup on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets, serving as the backup to Alexandar Georgiev due to Justus Annunen (illness) not being able to suit up. In a corresponding move, Ivan Prosvetov has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL) and will likely serve as the backup to Georgiev in game two.
