Georgiev was the first goalie off the ice at the Avalanche morning skate.

Georgiev allowed three goals on 28 shots (.893 SV%) for his fourth straight loss as he was beaten by Vegas in his previous start. The 26-year-old has been faltering as of late, but still holds a strong 15-6-3 record, with a .915 SV% and 2.68 GAA. He will hope for better fortunes against the Vancouver Canucks, who have lost their last three games after a 6-2 loss to the New York Islanders last game.

Darren Helm will make his season debut Monday vs. Vegas (abductor).

Helm has yet to play in 2022-23 due to an off-season abductor injury and will make his season debut Monday vs. the Golden Knights. He will be looking to add to the 266 career points (119G/147A) he has picked up through 812 games played.

Pavel Francouz is day-to-day, possibly week-to-week with an injury from before the break.

Francouz is 4-5-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .913 SV% but is considered day-to-day and will miss the Avalanches' game Tuesday as he deals with a lower-body injury. Jonas Johansson was recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL) to replace Francouz for the time being.

Valeri Nichuskin is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Nichuskin left the Avalanche's previous game vs. Nashville after just 13:31 TOI due to a lower-body injury and will now be forced to miss some time as he is considered week-to-week. The 27-year-old has played well despite missing nearly 20 games already due to an ankle injury, with seven goals, nine assists, 46 SOG and a +4 plus/minus in the 15 games he has played this season.

Francouz is 4-5-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .913 SV% but is considered day-to-day and will miss the Avalanches' game Tuesday as he deals with a lower-body injury. Jonas Johansson was recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL) to replace Francouz for the time being.

Alexandar Georgiev will start Friday vs. Nashville.

Georgiev stopped 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) as he picked up his third straight victory with a 2-1 win over Montreal in his last start. The 26-year-old has settled in incredibly in his first year as a starter with the Avalanche, with his 14-6-2 record, 2.39 GAA and .924 SV%. He takes on the Nashville Predators, who have won their last two games but have struggled to score as they are 29th in the NHL in goals per game (2.52).

Georgiev will start Wednesday vs. the Canadiens.

Georgiev was perfect, stopping 26 of 26 shots in a shutout victory over the New York Islanders in his previous start. The 26-year-old has solidified himself as one of the league's top netminders this season, due to his 13-6-2 record, .923 SV% and 2.46 GAA. He draws the Montreal Canadiens Wednesday, who are 27th in the NHL in goals per game (2.75) and 30th in shots (28.7).

Arvid Holm has been reassigned to Manitoba (AHL).

Holm's NHL stay lasted a total of one day as he dressed and backed up David Rittich on Tuesday. Holm will head back to Manitoba where he was having an impressive season with a 7-3-2 record, 2.55 GAA, and .923 SV%. He will have to wait for his next call-up to make his NHL debut.
