Frederic was acquired from the Bruins at the trade deadline but only appeared in one regular season game due to injury. He obviously made an impression on the organization during their postseason run, where he had four points (1G / 3A), 22 SOG and 85 hits in 22 games. The eight-year deal helped keep Frederic's AAV down, but it's a lot of term for a player that was on-pace for just 21 points last season.

Stecher suited up for Games 4 and 5 but will come out of the lineup for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. John Klingberg will re-enter the Oilers lineup to replace Stecher.

Arvidsson got back into the lineup for Game 5 but had no shots, hits or blocked shots while recording a minus-1 rating in 11:10 TOI. In Game 6, he'll be replaced in the lineup by Kasperi Kapanen.

Kapanen was a healthy scratch for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, but he will replace Viktor Arvidsson in the lineup for Game 6. Kapanen has picked up three assists in four games during the series.

Skinner was pulled after along three goals on 17 shots in the Oilers' come-from-behind 5-4 OT win in Game 4. Calvin Pickard started the Game 5 loss, so the Oilers will come back to Skinner in a must-win Game 6 on Tuesday. Skinner has had a tough time in the Stanley Cup Final, posting a 4.20 GAA and .860 SV% in four games.

Game 5 on Saturday will be Pickard's first start since the second round against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 33-year-old netminder has a 2.69 GAA and .896 SV% in nine appearances this postseason (7-0).

Skinner battled for 85 minutes in Game 2 but ultimately ended up with the loss, stopping 37 of the 42 shots he faced in the 5-4 defeat. The double-overtime loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Skinner and the Oilers, and more importantly evened up the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals at a game a piece.
