Kuemper is expected to start Tuesday in Minnesota.

Kuemper served as the backup for the last two Capitals' games but will likely return to the crease on Tuesday against his former club, the Minnesota Wild. Kuemper is 4-5-1 in his career against Minnesota, with a 2.78 GAA and .908 SV%, well below his career average. Taking that into consideration, along with the Capitals being shut out 3-0 to the St. Louis Blues in their last game, the Capitals are +147 road underdogs on Tuesday against the Wild, who are riding a two-game winning streak.

Rittich will start Monday vs. San Jose.

Rittich has earned himself a third straight start, and fourth in the last five games, in a favourable matchup against the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Rittich has been a bright spot during a poor stretch for the Kings, going 3-1-1 with a .937 SV% and being responsible for the Kings' only three victories in the last 14 games (3-7-4). Despite their poor play lately, the Kings are sizeable -387 home favourites against a Sharks club that is 2-7-1 in their last 10.

Rittich will start Thursday vs. Nashville.

The Kings will likely return to Rittich between the pipes for the second time in the last three games after he helped end their eight-game losing streak. Rittich is responsible for the Kings' only two victories during a horrid 2-5-4 stretch. Rittich has been limited to only five appearances this season (3-0-1) but has played well when called upon, posting a stellar 1.61 GAA and .932 SV%. Despite their struggles, the Kings are -139 home favourites against the Nashville Predators, who are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Kuemper will start Tuesday vs. the Ducks.

After allowing three or more goals in six straight games (2-4-0), Kuemper served as the backup to Charlie Lindgren on a back-to-back set over the weekend but will return to the crease on Tuesday in a favourable matchup against the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks pulled off an improbable 5-4 overtime victory over the Florida Panthers last night, but, playing on back-to-back nights, the Capitals are sizeable -171 home favourites.

The Kings have recalled Samuel Fagemo from Ontario (AHL).

Fagemo played four games with the Nashville Predators earlier this season, scoring one point (1G / 0A), but was later placed on waivers and claimed by the Kings.
