Jeannot was activated off Injured Reserve in February and returned to the lineup on February 13th but was limited to only 5:44 time-on-ice before re-aggravating his lower-body injury. He has played in only one game since January 6th. The 26-year-old bruising winger has filled his bottom-six role well this season with 12 points (6G/6A), 52 SOG, 61 PIMs, and a -11 plus/minus in 41 games played before the injury.

Jones will draw into lineup in place of Jonathan Drouin, who is sidelined with a lower-body injury. He will likely rotate defensive partners as the team's seventh defenseman.

Kuemper has not played since February 26th, but after the Capitals suffered a 3-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets in their last outing, he will return to the crease on Wednesday. Despite his lack of activity between the pipes, Kuemper is riding a two-game winning streak, including saving 18 of 21 shots (.857 SV%) in his last game, a 6-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Rittich has played well when called upon this season, posting a 2.32 GAA and .914 SV% in 18 games (9-4-3) but allowed four goals on 31 shots (.871 SV%) in his last outing, a 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The Kings enter action as -148 home favourites against the New York Islanders.

Gawdin made his season debut on Thursday but will report back to San Diego on Friday. His demotion makes remove for the arrival of the recently acquired Ben Meyers.

Fagemo has not suited up for the Kings since January 26 and has been reassigned to the Ontario Reign (AHL). The 23-year-old Fagemo has an impressive 47 points (31G / 16A) in 36 games with Ontario.

Fagemo has played four games with the Kings this season and is yet to register a point. He has been very productive in the AHL, however, scoring 31 goals and adding 16 assists in 31 games with the Ontario Reign.

Kuemper was not at the morning skate on Thursday due to an illness but could still be an option between the pipes in the evening against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kuemper last played on February 26th and saved 18 of 21 shots (.857 SV%) in a 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Edmundson will join the Maple Leafs, likely as a bottom-pairing depth defenseman, as they attempt to bolster their blueline ahead of Friday's trade deadline. The 30-year-old Edmundson had six points (1G / 5A), 58 hits, and 49 blocks in 44 games with the Washington Capitals this season.

The timing is a bit bizarre considering Moverare was just placed on waivers earlier today. Moverare has played 10 games with the Kings this season, being held off the scoresheet, but has spent most of the 2023-24 Campaign with the Ontario Reign (AHL), posting 18 points (2G / 16A) in 34 contests.
